We are contacting you today to notify you of a Shipping Image Update for TS-4900 / TS-7970  from embeddedTS.

The affected products are: TS-4900, TS-7970, TS-TPC-8390-4900, TS-TPC-8950-4900

The updated shipping image corrects an issue with the Silex WiFi  operation when the baseboard the TS-4900 is installed on does not have a known "devicetree" and the system "falls back" to a generic set of defaults. . The affected devicetree has been corrected allowing for correct Wi-Fi operation on all TS-4900/baseboard combinations including custom baseboards without a specific devicetree. TS-4900's not using the Silex WiFi  as well as TS-4900 device combinations that use a dedicated devicetree file ( including custom platforms) will see no change in behavior.

The TS-7970 and TS-4900 share a single shipping image, and so the TS-7970 is being updated as a result of this change, however there is no impact to the operation of the TS-7970.

The new image will be dated 20210526.
