Dear Valued Customer,

We are contacting you today to notify you of a Software Update for Cavium Based Platforms  from embeddedTS.  The changes have no impact on existing applications and will improve the robustness of applications or programing processes (typical completed in a production environment not out in field deployments) that modify the default software called "initramfs".

The affected products are: TS-4500, TS-7500, TS-7550, TS-7552, TS-7553, TS-8100-4500

On the above products there is a chance for the 'save' command in the initramfs to not save changes back to disk if the unit is powered off shortly after the command returns. The 'save' command has been modified to ensure all data is fully saved to the disk before the command returns.

Additionally, this change brings all of these individual platform images back in to a single image that is cross-platform compatible with all of the listed products.

The changes have no impact on existing applications and will improve the robustness of applications/production processes that modify the initramfs.
