Dear Valued Customer,
We are contacting you today to address Supervisory Microcontroller Shipping Software Update on a product you've purchased from Technologic Systems. This firmware change will have no effect on product performance or customer software running on the system. The firmware change will correct a bug where the system may hang if the console interface is connected to a computer but not actively being used.
The affected products are: TS-7970
The firmware in the controller used to implement the USB based console interface was found to have a bug that causes a system hang when the device prematurely enters a sleep mode. This bug manifests only under rare conditions, and mostly in development environments, very few systems have been impacted by this bug.
